2023 COACHES awards

Coaches Awards are presented to a number of students from each section and are awarded to performers who demonstrate outstanding attendance, team work, improvement, and a positive attitude. Recipients are chosen by coaches and assistants based on observations throughout the year.

2023 team member AWARDS
|
Team Member Awards are presented to a student from each section and are decided upon by their teammates, by way of a secret vote conducted by the head coach. The recipient must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality. Teams are encouraged to choose a member who makes them feel inspired, encouraged, and supported.

KATRINA BERRYMAN AWARD FOR OUSTANDING DEDICATION
fORMERLY: MARGARET MADGE PERPETUAL TROPHY
This award annually celebrates a team member who embraces and upholds the club philosophy. They must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality. They need to show loyalty, commitment and must work hard to improve throughout that year, and act as a positive role model for their peers. The recipient must also have shown an interest in and demonstrated support of other sections of the club.

Kathryn has now been a member of WCC for 6 years. She is a committed member of our Masters team who strives to do her best with each performance, whilst encouraging and inspiring her team mates. She has also been our dedicated Vice President for 3 years. She is a wonderfully, supportive member who actively positively promotes our club and our sport.

LIFE MEMBERS
To be eligible for Life Membership, the recipient must have given a minimum of 10 years of service to the club, not just as a participant or a coach, but also, for the majority of that time, completing regular volunteer duties or holding a volunteer role, as well as demonstrating loyalty and embracing our club philosophy. WCC currently has five life members.
